Student Worker – Development of smart manufacturing solutions
Your principal tasks
- Get familiar with the principles of data acquisition and usage from machine tool controls and built-in sensors to simulate, monitor and control processes.
- Use a mix of machine learning based and deterministic approaches to process data to predict or monitor process state conditions such as forces, vibrations, tool wear and part quality.
- Develop together with us software-based smart manufacturing solutions to increase productivity and protect the environment by reducing waste of resources.
- Test the developed solutions in our shopfloor on Makino machine tools by manufacturing die-and-mold, aerospace, or automotive parts.
- Advanced knowledge in programming (Python, C#, C++, GCode, CAM, …)
- Out-of-the-box thinking and motivation to follow new paths
- Enthusiasm and knowledge in machine tools, CNC, process data analysis, control strategies and simulation
